About the company
About Anderson Fence Company
A local fence crew working Anderson County and Greenville County since 2018. No showroom, no call center, no regional sales manager. Just the people who will be standing in your yard.
How we started
Anderson Fence Company opened in 2018 with one truck, a post hole digger and a straightforward idea: quote it honestly, build it once, and answer the phone when somebody calls. Eight years later the truck count has gone up and the idea has not changed.
We have put more than 55 fences in the ground across the Upstate in that time. Wood privacy fences behind subdivision homes in Powdersville. Chain link dog runs in Homeland Park. Aluminum pool enclosures in Simpsonville. Field fence out past Starr. Repairs on fences other companies built and walked away from.
That mix matters. A crew that only builds one kind of fence will sell you that fence no matter what your yard needs. We would rather tell you a cheaper material is the right call and keep you as the person who recommends us to a neighbor.
How a job actually runs
There is no mystery to it, and knowing the sequence makes it easier to compare us against anyone else you are quoting.
1. You call, we come out
We answer 7am to 7pm, seven days a week. In most cases we can be at your property within a couple of days. We walk the line with you, take measurements, look at slope, access, tree roots, utility runs and where the pins are. That visit is free and there is no deposit.
2. You get a real number
The quote covers materials, labor, gate hardware, removal and haul away of an old fence if there is one, and any extra work the ground is going to demand. We would rather quote the difficult part up front than discover it mid job and ask you for more.
3. We build it
Most residential yards are a one to three day job. We call before utility locates, set posts in concrete, and come back to hang gates once the concrete has cured rather than hanging them the same afternoon and watching them sag.

Why local knowledge changes the fence
Anderson County sits on Cecil series red clay, part of a soil group mapped across more than 10 million acres of the Carolina Piedmont. It is dense, kaolinite heavy and slow to drain. A post hole dug in it holds water like a bucket unless it is dug wide enough and backfilled to shed water rather than collect it.
Add 48 inches of rain a year, ten more than the national average, plus one of the heaviest termite pressure zones in the country, and you have a set of conditions that punishes shortcuts. The fences that fail here fail at the post, at ground level, usually within four or five years.
Then there are the local rules. City of Anderson development standards protect visibility at driveways and intersections, so nothing solid can sit between 42 inches and 10 feet above roadway grade inside a sight triangle. Neighborhood architectural committees add height, material and orientation rules on top. We check both before we dig.
Where we work
We are a service area business, which means we come to you rather than running a showroom you have to drive to. Our normal working radius covers every town and community in Anderson County and Greenville County, plus Easley and Clemson just over the Pickens County line.
There is no trip charge anywhere in that area, and no minimum job size for us to come and look.
How we work
What you get working with us
The same people start to finish
You talk to the crew, not a call center. The person who quotes your fence is connected to the person who builds it, which is why customers keep writing that we were easy to reach and straight with them. One Google reviewer described the owner as professional and kind, and that is the bar we are holding ourselves to.
A quote fast enough to be useful
Speed is the single thing our 24 Google reviewers mention most. People call, someone comes out, and the number arrives before the competition has returned the voicemail. One reviewer wrote that we came out quickly, assessed the property and gave the best offer around. Quotes are free, on site, with no deposit.
Honest answers about what you need
If a repair will do, we will quote the repair rather than the replacement. If your posts have gone and patching the pickets is money spent twice, we will say that too. Across eight years and 55 plus fences, the jobs we turned down have cost us less than the ones we should have.

Overall we had a good experience with this contractor, The owner was professional and kind
GREAT company! Great personalities, and fantastic at getting the job done properly, and swiftly. They did a great job fixing my grandmother fence and she's so happy with it. Now the dogs can run freely and happily in the yard. Very hard workers the do an incredible job with great quality.
Questions we get asked
About us, answered
How long have you been in business?
Since 2018, which is eight years of working the same two counties.
We have stayed local the whole time rather than expanding out of the area, and that is deliberate. Knowing the ground, the rules and the neighborhoods is most of what separates a fence that lasts from one that leans.
Do you have a showroom I can visit?
No. We are a service area business, so we come to your property instead. That is better for you anyway, because a fence quote depends on slope, access and soil, none of which you can see in a showroom.
If you want to see material samples, we bring them to the quote.
Who will actually be doing the work?
Our own crew. We do not subcontract residential fence installation out to whoever is available that week.
That is the reason the same names keep showing up in our reviews describing the crew as fast, knowledgeable and friendly.
What if something goes wrong after the job?
Call the same number. You reach the same people, not a warranty department.
We are eight years into working a small area, and a fence we did not stand behind would follow us around both counties.
